Tree Services in Richmond, VA

When you need a tree removed or an unwanted stump addressed, you want to know that the company you contact has experience with the type of work your property requires. At BG Construction Company, I provide focused tree services in Richmond, VA and surrounding communities within approximately 35 miles.

My services include crane tree removal, stump grinding, and dangerous tree removal. Each service addresses a different type of problem, from large and difficult trees to leftover stumps and trees that have become a concern.

I bring 52 years of family experience in the tree service trade to the work I do today. My father introduced me to tree work when I was eight years old, and that experience was eventually passed from father to son.

Crane Tree Removal

Large trees and difficult locations can make tree removal more complicated. When controlled lifting is appropriate for a project, crane assistance can provide an effective way to handle large sections of a tree during the removal process.

I provide crane tree removal for customers throughout the Richmond area. This service is specifically focused on tree work and is intended for situations where the tree's size, position, access, or surrounding conditions make crane-assisted removal worth considering.

Every job presents different conditions. A tree located near structures may require a different approach from one standing in a more open area. Access to the property and the size of the tree can also affect the work involved.

My experience allows me to look at the individual situation rather than assume that every tree should be handled the same way.

Stump Grinding

Removing a tree does not always solve everything. Once the tree is gone, the remaining stump can become the next issue you want addressed.

A stump can interrupt usable yard space, make mowing around the area inconvenient, or detract from how you want the property to look. My stump grinding service gives Richmond-area property owners a practical option for dealing with unwanted tree stumps.

People looking for this type of work may search for stump removal services, tree stump removal, stump disposal, or stump extraction. These terms can describe different approaches, so I do not treat them as identical services. My offered service is stump grinding.

If a stump is taking up space on your property, tell me about its size, location, and what you would like to accomplish with the area. I can discuss the grinding work with you and provide a free quote.

Dangerous Tree Removal

A tree that looks damaged, unstable, or otherwise concerning can leave you wondering what to do next. The concern may become even greater when the tree is close to your home, driveway, vehicles, or another frequently used area.

I provide dangerous tree removal in Richmond, VA and throughout my surrounding service area. This service focuses on difficult or concerning trees that property owners want professionally addressed.

The condition and location of a tree can influence the removal process, which is why I consider the individual circumstances of the project. In some situations, the size or position of a dangerous tree may also make crane assistance relevant.

If you have noticed a tree that concerns you, you do not need to determine the removal method yourself. Contact me, explain what you are seeing, and I can discuss the work that may be needed.

Which Tree Service Is Right for Your Property?

If you already know what you need, selecting a service is simple:

  • Crane Tree Removal: For large, difficult, or strategically positioned trees where crane-assisted lifting may be appropriate.
  • Stump Grinding: For unwanted stumps remaining on the property after a tree has been removed or cut down.
  • Dangerous Tree Removal: For trees that appear damaged, unstable, hazardous, or otherwise concerning.

Sometimes the needs of a project overlap. For example, a dangerous tree may also be large enough or positioned in a way that makes crane-assisted removal useful. I can discuss those circumstances with you rather than expecting you to choose the exact method before requesting a quote.

Local Tree Service Backed by Generational Experience

BG Construction Company is a family-owned and operated tree service business with 52 years of experience in the trade.

My connection to this work began when my father started teaching me tree work at eight years old. What began as lessons from my father became a lifelong trade, and the business was eventually passed down to me.

Today, I continue that history by serving customers throughout Richmond and nearby communities. Instead of offering a long list of unrelated services, I keep my work centered on crane tree removal, stump grinding, and dangerous tree removal.
