Tree Service in Richmond, VA Backed by 52 Years of Experience

When a tree becomes difficult to manage, dangerous to your property, or simply needs to come down, experience matters. At BG Construction Company, I provide professional tree service in Richmond, VA and surrounding communities within a 35-mile radius. My work focuses on three important services: crane tree removal, stump grinding, and dangerous tree removal.

I bring 52 years of family experience to the work I do today. This is a trade that was passed down from my father, and that history continues to shape how I approach every job. Whether you have a large tree in a challenging location, a stump taking up valuable yard space, or a tree that has become a concern, I can help you determine the next step.

Tree Care for Difficult Jobs Around Richmond

Tree removal is not always as simple as cutting a tree at ground level. Size, location, surrounding structures, access, and the condition of the tree can all affect how a removal should be approached.

That is especially important when a tree is large, difficult to reach, or positioned near areas you want to protect. My experience includes working with challenging tree-removal situations where careful planning and the right equipment matter.

BG Construction Company serves residential and other properties throughout the Richmond area, with service available within approximately 35 miles of Richmond, VA. I focus on practical solutions based on the specific tree and property rather than treating every project the same way.

Crane Tree Removal

Some trees require more than a conventional removal approach. Crane tree removal can help with large, difficult, or awkwardly positioned trees when sections need to be lifted and controlled during the removal process.

I provide crane-assisted tree removal for projects where heavy lifting can play an important role in handling tree sections. My goal is to assess the situation and determine an appropriate approach based on the tree, its surroundings, and site access.

Stump Grinding

A tree may be gone, but the stump it leaves behind can still interfere with how you use and maintain your property. It may become an obstacle when mowing, affect the appearance of the yard, or simply occupy space you would rather use differently.

My stump grinding service provides a practical way to address unwanted tree stumps after removal. Instead of allowing an old stump to remain as a permanent feature, I can grind it down and help you move forward with your plans for the area.

Visit my Stump Grinding page for more information about tree stump removal options and what to consider before requesting service.

Dangerous Tree Removal

A tree that appears unstable, damaged, or otherwise concerning should not be ignored. The potential risk can become more serious when the tree is located near a home, driveway, vehicle area, or another part of the property where falling limbs or tree failure could cause damage.

I provide dangerous tree removal for property owners who need help addressing challenging trees around Richmond. Every situation is different, so the first step is discussing what you are seeing and evaluating the work that may be required.

Family Experience Passed From Father to Son

Tree work has been part of my life since childhood. My father brought me into the trade when I was eight years old, giving me the opportunity to learn through hands-on experience from an early age. The business and knowledge were eventually passed down from father to son.

Today, BG Construction Company remains family-owned and operated. That background gives my business a history that cannot be created overnight: 52 years of experience in the tree service trade.

For me, that history is about more than the number of years. It means bringing lessons learned across decades into the decisions I make on current projects. You can read more about that story on my About page.
